On Time and Efficient
“Majestic Homes (Jeremy Sheppard) built our two story 1,000 square foot living quarters inside a large metal building. Building a house-inside of another structure presents some interesting construction challenges. Jeremy met with us prior to quoting the job to get to know us and understand our expectations. Jeremy provided a detailed build plan and draw schedule. He also explained the change process, an important detail as it turned out.
During the framing, Jeremy was on sight working with the framers. We ended up with more headroom on the second floor than expected. If fact, working with Jeremy, we have used nearly every possible square foot of available space. Jeremy was there every time a new sub started work. This provided us with peace of mind.
The cost of each change we made, and there were several, was clearly explained. This is a critical step in home construction as changes can easily blow a budget. For each change, Jeremy would breakdown the cost of materials and labor and provide a schedule impact. This allowed us to make an informed decision about the changes. One change concerned the wall treatment behind the circular stairs. We kept presenting options such as stacked stone and Jeremy would tell us how much it would cost. We finally found a beautiful travertine tile that was affordable. This tile is now one of the many focal points of our house.
Jeremy is honest, knows his job, has high quality subcontractors, and was a pleasure to work with. We recommend you consider Majestic Homes for your building projects.”
